CPEV CERTIFIED
About Dr. Becker
Dr. Becker has earned her Certified Peaceful Euthanasia Veterinarian (CPEV) credential, reflecting her commitment to helping pets and their families navigate one of life’s most difficult moments with kindness, dignity, and compassion.
Her goal is to provide a peaceful, gentle experience that allows your pet to remain surrounded by the people they love and the comfort and familiarity of home.
PRE-MEDICATIONS
Your pet’s comfort is our priority.
Before the final euthanasia medication is given, your pet will receive medication designed to help them feel calm, relaxed, comfortable, and pain-free.
This allows your pet to peacefully settle in while surrounded by the people, sounds, smells, and comforts they know best.
DURING THE APPOINTMENT
Your pet can remain wherever they are most comfortable - on their favorite bed, curled up on the couch, outside in the sunshine, or surrounded by their family. Dr. Becker will move at a pace that feels comfortable for you and your pet. You may choose to be present for all or part of the process. There is no right or wrong choice.
After your pet is relaxed and comfortable, Dr. Becker will administer the euthanasia medication. Your pet will peacefully pass while surrounded by the comfort of home and the people they love.
TAKING TIME TO SAY GOODBYE
After your pet has passed, there is no need to immediately say goodbye. You may spend some quiet time with them, share memories, allow other family members or pets to say goodbye, or simply sit together. Every family grieves differently, and we want you to have the space and time you need.
AFTERCARE
When you are ready, Dr. Becker will assist you with the next steps and your chosen aftercare arrangements. Our team can discuss available options with you ahead of time so that, on the day of your appointment, your focus can remain where it belongs,on your pet and the time you have together.
